A cracking country inn. Lovely room, really friendly and helpful owner. Nice local cask ales as well as some of the more regularly available beers . The breakfast was prepared to order and was delicious... Looking forward to a return trip.
Last night my friend and I went to the Plough for the Italian Night dinner. The food was absolutely delicious with a wide choice for everyone. David and Sarah are superb hosts making you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door and there is a warm friendly atmosphere in the pub(Inn). The added bonus is they take dogs. Would highly recommended The Plough for a beautifully home cooked meal. I certainly will be back soon.
We had a fantastic meal at this lovely local village pub. The service was brilliant.They serve an excellent selection of local beers. The food was hearty, delicious, home-cooked food. It’s classic pub food done really well—great quality ingredients, full of flavor, and delicious. Would highly recommend the lasagna and sticky toffee pud! We’d highly recommend this pub for its warm atmosphere, great food, and excellent service.
We had a fabulous meal at The Plough on Saturday night. We booked ahead as they are currently only open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. Two of us had a goats cheese salad starter as a main (with a bowl of fat chips of course), one person had scampi and two had Sarah's home made lasagne fresh out of the oven (which was fab apparently). Tiramisu was on the Specials menu, so four of us had to have that! We had a lovely evening, ably looked after by David and Sarah. We enjoyed it so much, we popped back in on Sunday for coffee and cake.
We spent a night at The Plough Inn last weekend and had a fantastic experience. The accommodation was immaculate, warm, and just as pictured. The food was delicious and clearly made with quality ingredients. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which really added to the charm of the place. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Plough Inn to anyone visiting the area, and we’re already looking forward to staying again!
After arriving quite late after a long drive I was warmly welcomed by Sarah who got me settled in. The room is generous in size and the drinks and snacks tray is well stocked and fresh milk is provided which is much nicer than the UHT stuff! A shame I'm only getting to stay 1 night.
We are/were staying in Coldstream, arriving Friday afternoon- we decided, based on the information in the room (admittedly dated 14 June 2024)- to drive to The Plough Inn at Leitholm as the menu looks amazing. When we got there (9 min drive) it was closed. The info on the left of the door says open only to residents/guests Monday to Friday. So we had to scamper off elsewhere. Serves us right. We’ll call ahead next time!
Stayed at the Plough Inn for one night and had breakfast the following morning. Lovely service throughout. Room was immaculate. I’m coeliac and they were so careful with my food. Great range of gluten free foods, felt very safe. Highly recommend!
